Welcome to Verdure! Verdure (which means "greenness" in French) was developed by a board-certified dermatologist. Unable to find suitable effective products using naturals for her own sensitive skin, Elisabeth Shim, MD developed this custom-formulated line for herself, her patients and her physician peers. The company was founded in 2007.
Verdure's mission is to combine dermatologic expertise with effective botanical ingredients. Verdure is the first dermatologist-developed brand with a focus on natural ingredients. We value simplicity and versatility.
All ingredients in Verdure products are botanical, synthetic or marine-derived -- there are no animal-derived products. They are paraben-free, propylene glycol-free, petrolatum-free and ethanolamine-free. The products have been safety-tested for allergy and are listed with the American Contact Dermatitis Society product database. Our mineral-based, patent-pending sunscreen with Broccoli and Tea extracts has met the highest rating for water-resistance.
A portion of the profits from Verdure will be donated to charitable organizations with an emphasis on education, environmental preservation and animal rescue.
